Fantasy Football Rules:
- The fantasy league begins with the draft. Players take turns selecting actual NFL athletes for their virtual teams until each has filled their roster.
- Teams will consist of the following roster:
1 quarterback (QB)
2 running backs (RB)
3 wide receivers (WR)
1 tight end (TE)
1 kicker (K)
1 defense (D) - The draft uses a "snake" style pick order, in which the order reverses with each round. For instance, in an 8 man draft, in the first round player 1 will draft first, followed by player 2, down through player 8. Then in the second round player 8 will pick first, followed player 7, and so on.
- If a player is unable to make a pick (due to disconnection or being away from the draft) the computer will select the highest rated player needed in his roster. We encourage you to use the draft queue in order to ensure getting the players you want in case this happens.
- Each league will run throughout the first full NFL week following the draft. An NFL week ends after the Monday night games are completed, and the next week begins with the first game played thereafter (usually on Sunday). Any leagues in which the draft was completed after the NFL week has begun (i.e. drafts on a Sunday afternoon) will not score until the following week.
- The scoring system is as follows:
Passing
Touchdown: 6 points
Total Yardage: 0.04 points per yard
Interception: -2 points
2 point conversion: 2 pointsRushing/Receiving
Touchdown: 6 points
Total Yardage: 0.1 points per yard
2 point conversion: 2 points
Misc.
Fumble lost: -2 points
Kicking
Extra point kick: 1 point
Field Goals 0-39 yards: 3 points
Field Goals 40-49 yards: 4 points
Field Goals 50+ yards: 5 points
Defense
Touchdown: 6 points
Sack: 1 points
Interception: 2 points
Fumble Recovery: 2 points
Blocked Kick: 2 points
Safety: 2 points
Points Allowed: 12 points for shutout. Subtract 0.5 points for each point allowed. Score can be negative.
Example:
Your defense gives up 28 points. So they get 12 points, minus 0.5*28 (14). 12 - 14 = -2, resulting in a defensive score of -2. - The player with the highest point total wins.
- Because initial box scores can sometimes contain erroneous statistics, leagues will finalize on Tuesday.
- Prizes will be awarded to your draftmix.com account within 24 hours of the league finalizing. You can always check your balance in the cashier page. As soon as we implement real money games (which will be in the next few weeks) you'll be able to use the funds to play in new leagues or simply cash them out.
- In the event of a tie for any place that pays a prize, the prizes will be split evenly among the tied players.
Example:
Suppose the payout structure is:
1st place: $100
2nd place: $50
3rd place: $25
If the top two players tie, they will split the prize money ($150 total) evenly, so each would receive $75. If third and fourth place tied, resulting in a two way tie for third, both would split the $25, so each would receive $12.50.
Fantasy Baseball Rules
Introduction
Draftmix.com fantasy baseball is a streamlined version of the fantasy baseball you can find on other sites. We have short season lengths, minimal management requirements, and real money prizes.
The Draft
All fantasy baseball leagues start with a draft. The draft is where you select which players you want to have on your virtual sports team. To find a draft, simply head over to our lobby and find the one that matches the sport and stakes you wish to play.
Once a draft fills with players the players are reordered randomly and will remain in this random order for the rest of the draft. Players take turns picking MLB athletes for their fantasy team until everyone has filled their roster.
The draft uses a "snake" style pick order, in which the order reverses with each round. For instance, in an 8 man draft, in the first round player 1 will draft first, followed by player 2, down through player 8. Then in the second round player 8 will pick first, followed player 7, and so on.
If you wish to have a team selected for you, you may check the autodraft checkbox, and your team will be drafted based on our player rankings. You may also add players to your draft queue, and then should you be unable to make a pick the computer will select from your queue.
Rosters
In leagues lasting one week the roster format is made up of:
1 First Baseman (1B)
1 Second Baseman (2B)
1 Third Baseman (3B)
1 Shortstop (SS)
1 Catcher (C)
3 Outfielders (OF)
5 Starting Pitchers (SP)
3 Relief Pitchers RP
In leagues lasting one day the roster format is made up of:
1 First Baseman (1B)
1 Second Baseman (2B)
1 Third Baseman (3B)
1 Shortstop (SS)
1 Catcher (C)
3 Outfielders (OF)
1 Starting Pitchers (SP)
1 Relief Pitchers RP
You can see how many of each you have and how many you need in the position box on the right side of the draft window.
Scoring
Players earn points based on their athlete's performance. Athlete stats score as follows:
Runs Scored: 2 points
Hits: 0.5 points
Homeruns: 4 points
RBI: 2 points
Stolen Bases: 2 points
Innings Pitched: 1 point
Wins: 5 points
Saves: 5 points
Earned Runs: -0.5 points
Strikeouts: 2 points
note: Pitchers do not receive credit for hitting stats
Ties
In the event of a tie for any place that pays a prize, the prizes will be split evenly among the tied players.
Season
Draftmix.com fantasy sports leagues have much shorter seasons than traditional ones. Instead of offering only leagues that span the entire baseball season, we offer leagues that last for as little as a week. Once a league reaches its ending date final standings are computed and prizes are awarded. Any points, stats, or standings shown before the final payout are not official and are subject to change.
Fantasy Basketball Rules:
The fantasy league begins with the draft. Players take turns selecting actual NBA athletes for their virtual teams until each has filled their roster.
Teams will consist of the following roster:
1 Point Guard (PG)
1 Shooting Guard (SG)
1 Guard of either type (G)
1 Power Forward (PF)
1 Small Forward (SF)
1 Forward of either type (F)
1 Center (C)
2 Utility Players (any position)(Util)
Drafted Athletes will fill the first position on the list for which they are eligible. So, for example, if a player uses his first pick on a Point Guard, that will fill the 1 point guard spot. If his second pick is another point guard, that will fill the Guard spot. Any remaining point guards drafted will fill Utility spots.
The draft uses a "snake" style pick order, in which the order reverses with each round. For instance, in an 8 man draft, in the first round player 1 will draft first, followed by player 2, down through player 8. Then in the second round player 8 will pick first, followed player 7, and so on.
If a player is unable to make a pick (due to disconnection or being away from the draft) the computer will select the highest rated player needed in his roster. We encourage you to use the draft queue in order to ensure getting the players you want in case this happens.
Each league will run for one week. The start date will be the first day in which no games have yet been played. For instance, if a league is drafted early Monday morning, and no games have yet been played that day, the league will start immediately and end after the last game in Sunday. If, however, a league is drafted Monday night, after games have already begun, then the league will start on Tuesday and end the following Monday.
Players earn points based on their athlete's performance. Athlete stats score as follows:
Point Scored: 0.5 points
Field Goal Attempted: -0.45 points
Field Goal Made: 1 point
Free Throw Attempted: -0.75 points
Free Throw Made: 1 point
3 Point Shot Made: 3 points
Rebound: 1.5
Assist: 2.0
Steal: 3.0
Turnover: -2.0
Blocked Shot: 3.0
Since NBA teams can play anywhere from 2-5 games in a week, points for each athlete will be averaged in one week leagues. In season long leagues they will be cumulative. The player with the highest point total at the end of the league wins.
Because initial box scores can sometimes contain erroneous statistics, leagues will finalize one day after they end.
Prizes will be awarded to your draftmix.com account within 24 hours of the league finalizing. You can always check your balance in the cashier page. As soon as we implement real money games (which will be in the next few weeks) you'll be able to use the funds to play in new leagues or simply cash them out.
